Current Situation About Turkey's Domestic Automobile Production

Turkey has taken important steps in domestic automobile production and supports the development of domestic brands. TOGG (Turkey's Automobile Enterprise Group), Turkey's domestic automobile brand, was established in 2017. TOGG continues its work to produce Turkey's first domestic and electric car.

TOGG's production facilities were established in Bursa, and mass production is planned to start in 2022. The prototype of TOGG's first model, the C-SUV, was introduced in 2019 and attracted great attention.

Other important developments in Turkey's domestic automobile production include BMC's electric truck and bus production, TÜBİTAK's domestic automobile project and domestic automobile investments of other brands.

Domestic automobile production will further strengthen Turkey's place in the automotive industry and increase the competitiveness of domestic brands in the international arena.
