Food culture refers to a society's food preparation, presentation and consumption habits, traditions and values. Every country, region or even city has its own unique food culture. Food cultures are often influenced by historical, geographical, economic and social factors.
Turkish Food Culture
Turkish food culture has a rich heritage. Turkish cuisine, shaped by the influence of many different cultures in the vast lands of the Ottoman Empire, is very rich in diversity and taste. Turkish dishes, where meat, vegetables, legumes and grain products are used extensively, are generally spicy and satisfying.
Food Traditions
Food traditions refer to a society's rituals and habits regarding food. For example, in some cultures, meals are eaten together as a family, while in others, mealtime becomes a social event. In some societies, certain foods are consumed at certain periods or events.
World Food Cultures
There are many different food cultures around the world. From Italian cuisine to Chinese cuisine, from French cuisine to Indian cuisine, each country has its own unique dishes and food preparation techniques. Food reflects the history, geography and cultural values of that country.
