Connection refers to the situation in which people establish relationships and interact with each other. Connections can be made through a variety of relationships, such as family, friends, co-workers. Connections help people get support, feel understood, and become socially integrated.
The Relationship Between Loneliness and Connection
There is an inverse relationship between loneliness and connection. As loneliness increases, connection decreases, which can negatively impact mental health. When people connect, the feeling of loneliness decreases and the person's psychological well-being increases.
