Fernando Casado Arambillet (September 20, 1917 - March 9, 1994), best known as Fernando Rey, was a Spanish film, theater and television actor who worked in both Europe and the USA. A soft-spoken, internationally best-known surrealist director, Luis Buñuel, actor known for his roles in films (Tristana, 1970; The Hidden Attraction of the Bourgeoisie 1972; That Indistinct Object of Desire, 1977) and The French Connection as a drug lord (1971), 150 for half a century He has appeared in more than ten movies.Bombing Rey has been described by French Connection maker Philip D'Antoni as "the last of the Continental Europeans". He gained his greatest fame after 50: "Maybe it's a pity that my success came so late," he told the Los Angeles Times. “It might have been better to be successful when young, like El Cordobés in the bull. So before you enjoy life, it's all yours."
